Behind the camera, and in the saddle

I've been in the horse world since I was ten years old—riding lesson horses, leasing, and eventually owning and showing a horse of my own. Photography came later in my journey, but the two have always gone hand in hand for me. I grew up buying show photos, so I know what a rider is watching for in the ring and what makes a picture unique.

That background is what shapes my work today. I'm not photographing horses from the outside—I'm photographing a world I've lived in for years, which means I know how incredible these animals are and how extraordinary the bond is between horse and rider.

Horses have given me countless opportunities and unforgettable experiences, as I know they have for many others. What better way to hold onto these special moments than a photo that captures it all?

I'm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and currently shooting on a Sony Alpha a9 ll, building my portfolio one shoot at a time!!
